La Bürsch is a charming country house located in the Oretto hamlet of Campiglia Cervo. It has always made sustainability and local development two cornerstones of its business. It takes its name from the ancient upper Cervo valley, which has a profound meaning of home and country, which is why it was chosen as the location for the presentation of the Valsaar project. A multi-building hotel with approximately 40 beds and a restaurant serving refined menus featuring local, locally sourced produce, it is a unique location surrounded by greenery overlooking the banks of the Cervo stream.
Opened in 2018, it is the result of the expert restoration of a small Alpine village by the owner, Barbara Varese, who wanted to give a family-friendly yet exclusive feel to this 17th-century residence.
The theme chosen to imbue this accommodation with character is that of travel. Bursh aims to offer its guests a truly emotional journey through a complete sensory experience. All the rooms have been carefully furnished, drawing inspiration from a geographical theme, with original objects from around the world, collected by the home's four-generation owners.
Many common areas are designed to encourage sharing and the pleasure of being together, such as the main building, which features a 1970s-style music room equipped with period instruments, a cinema room, and a 1930s-style art deco bar dedicated to mixology experiences. La Bursh also boasts a welcoming billiards room and a gaming room with retro slot machines and original table games.
