Sporty yet elegant, even aristocratic. Our handmade Derby shoes are faithful to the origins of this shoe, distinguished by its open lacing for ease of entry. The inventor of this type of shoe was Edward Smith-Stanley, 14th Earl of Derby, a portly man who had a pair made because he found traditional hunting boots uncomfortable, as they didn't fit his large feet.

Since then, the Derby has been synonymous with a refined yet not overly buttoned-up style, like its lacing, which should allow a finger to slip through the eyelets, revealing the tongue underneath. Among lace-ups, Derby shoes are ideal for those with high insteps or wide feet, because their shape makes them highly adjustable and more comfortable to wear.

Ideal for daytime, these shoes are highly versatile, pairing perfectly with jeans or separates for a casual yet refined look. We offer several handmade derby styles, including the more casual ones with ultralight Vibram rubber soles for maximum comfort: our Jersey ExtraLight swallowtail in washed calfskin. or the Cendre ExtraLight , fresh and light, thanks to a micro-perforated finish. Those who prefer leather soles can choose from shoes with a vintage look thanks to the special stone wax finish, like the Bufalo limited edition , or the magnificent hand-dyed ones , characterized by the mix of two colors that gives them unique shades.

Each of our shoes is rigorously handmade in Italy in our workshop, drawing on the experience passed down from our father, acquired from 1968 to the present day. All our products are crafted with select, top-quality materials and are produced following various processes to ensure our shoes are perfect.
